I've been watching the Giants for as long as I can remember and one of the things that sticks out the most is the weather conditions in Giants stadium as the season progresses. Anyone who knows anything about the Giants knows that Giants Stadium is one of the hardest places to play late in the season. It's not because of snow or rain or even crowd noise. It's because of the wind.
Now, having said that, why would the coach engineer a game plan to throw the ball 52 times? I don't want to hear the excuse that it was because they were behind. Even when the game was close, they were still throwing the ball too much.
If someone told me before the game that the Eli was going pass 52 times in one game, I would have told you that they lost the game. Anyone can see that coming.
And now with Shockey out for the season all he has to look forward to is his New Years Eve party because if the Giants are playing like this, they may not make the playoffs. And if they do make the playoffs, it will definitely be a 1 and done.

As much as I root for the Giants to lose (as much as the Mets), I have to agree that the game plan was pretty terrible. Brandon Jacobs is big and strong enough (not to mention young enough) to carry the rock 40 times in conditions like that. He had a good damn game for the 20-30 carries he had. I believe Eli is a terribly overrated QB, but Tom Coughlin is definitely the issue with this team. Everytime that guy is shown on the sidelines he has some sort of pained expression. He just looks absolutely miserable. The Giants need to go after Bill Cowher, even though he wants another year off, and attempt to make an offer he cannot refuse. It is just a stagnant organization that has done the exact same thing the last 3-4 seasons, which is start off very hot and then just fizzle out.
I can't say I disagree with a lot there.
